the rocks and the steam,
the wind on the ocean,

In Native American spirituality, the Medicine Wheel represents harmony and connections and is considered a major symbol of peaceful interaction among all living beings on Earth. It also symbolizes the inner journey we each must take to find the path of peace within. It is used traditionally in sacred ceremonies for healing and prayer purposes for the soul and the planet. Medicine Mandala Has been inspired after smoking the Peace Pipe in a prayer ceremony for harmony and peace in the world with Shanti Mayi.

my mirror offers no resistance,
there is ease and lightness in the reflection;
full the space between.
a cycle of exchange, earth to sky and back, stretching out in the world of form

“Treasure”
Soft Pastels on paper 2008
100cm x 100cm
This mandala resembles the creation pattern as reflected in Sacred Geometry. This pattern is found in the deepest place in our heart. In our heart there is a union of the Father Sky and Mother Earth And their uniting is the uniting of the forces downwards and upwards, inwards and outwards in equal amounts. In the place where these forces meet a treasure is found and brought forth. That has a quality and brilliance of a diamond and delicate flower-like petals. Dive in the depth of your heart as a treasure is awaiting to become you.

“Scroll Beyond Time”
Wool felt, oil, acrylic, canvas, koki bamboo, wax crayon
2.1M x 1.1M
Beyond this moment, eternity
A combination of rustic sophistication this work is presented as an ancient scroll.
Markings as if from the paw of an animal mark the four directions from the central wheel.
The way the wool interacts with the rosco medium sized onto the canvas gives
it an appearance almost like a stretched skin.
“May the voice of peace be heard across the four directions of the land.”

“SHARING OF BREATH”
Oil on canvas, merino wool, silk, copper support
1.6M x 2.3M
Sharing the Breath is a global representation
of the new paradigm for co-operative collaboration.
A coming together of all nations, creeds, and wisdom.
The work is inspired by the important leadership of our elders;
the need for our understanding of Grandmother medicine.
It is a humble devotion to the inspirational and significant
work of the 13 Grandmothers Council and the integral medicine
they are sharing with the world.
